Even if you brush and floss your teeth faithfully, it is important that you have your teeth professionally cleaned on a regular basis.
Our main focus is on preventing tooth decay and gum disease. Performed in conjunction with a routine dental examination, a professional cleaning can go a long way toward controlling these two common maladies.
While your teeth are being cleaned, it’s also a good opportunity for our staff to screen for developing dental problems such as gum disease or tooth decay.
Generally, your teeth cleaning will be performed by a dental hygienist. Because everyone’s teeth are a little different, your cleaning will be tailored to your particular needs.
However, many cleanings follow a similar pattern:
First, the dental hygienist will do an oral examination to evaluate the health of your oral tissues.
Next, the cleaning will take place to remove plaque and calculus from the tooth surfaces.
Finally, your teeth are polished with a low-speed rotary brush fitted with a soft rubber tip. A slightly gritty, toothpaste-like gel is applied, and the tip spins around and polishes the teeth, making them smooth and shiny. Once this is finished, one of our Dentist's will perform a final examination and discuss your next course of action.
When your teeth cleaning and exam are finished, you will then be walked out to one of our front desk associates who will go over recommended treatment (if any) that the doctor recommends.
If recommended additional treatment, you will have the option to schedule an appointment back with us.
We'll also address any questions or concerns you may have at this point.
If no treatment is recommended, you will have the option to schedule your next teeth cleaning and exam (recall) - usually 6 months or after from this day.
We accept most major dental insurance plans and will submit claims on your behalf so that you can maximize your insurance benefit.
Generally, we will have estimates on how much your insurance will cover, but these are not always 100% accurate due to the ever-evolving insurance landscape, so please understand if our estimate does not always reflect your final invoice.
At this time we are not taking new Title XIX patients nor do we see patients with Iowa Care.
You can choose to pay by cash or check on the day that treatment is rendered, and a 5% discount will be given for payments made in full.
Additionally, we accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards for a 3% discount.
We offer special financing through CareCredit on balances over $300.
Interest free plans are available at 3,6, and 12 months (subject to approval).
When you join our dental savings program you pay an annual rate of $319 for adults, and $279 for children.
That's a 15% savings over our normal rates if you were to pay for everything separately.
Additionally, by joining this program, you'll receive 10% off of additional work needed, like fillings, extractions, implants, etc...
All you have to do is pay the one time annual fee, schedule the appointments, and show up! We'll take care of the rest!
