Payment & Insurance Options

We strive to make our dental services as affordable as possible. We accept most major dental insurance plans and will submit claims on your behalf so that you can maximize your insurance benefit.

We ask that you realize we do not work for an insurance company. Rather we work 100% for our patients. We feel that insurance can be a great benefit for many patients and want you to know we will do everything in our power to ensure you get every benefit allotted in your insurance contract. However, the treatment we recommend and the fees we charge will always be based on your individual needs, not your insurance coverage.

At this time we are not taking new Title XIX patients nor do we see patients with Iowa Care.

No dental insurance?

You can choose to pay by cash or check on the day that treatment is rendered, and a 5% discount will be given for payments made in full.

Additionally, we accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards for a 3% discount.

We offer special financing through CareCredit on balances over $300. Interest free plans are available at 3,6, and 12 months (subject to approval).

We See Children Starting at age 1

The idea of such early dental visits is still surprising to many new parents. However, national studies have shown that preschool-aged children are getting more cavities. More than 1 in 4 children in the United States has had at least one cavity by the age of 4. Many kids get cavities as early as age 2.

To prevent early childhood cavities, parents first have to find out their child's risk of developing cavities. They also need to learn how to manage diet, hygiene and fluoride to prevent problems.

But cavities aren't all that parents need to learn about their child's dental health. The age 1 dental visit lets parents discuss:

  • How to care for an infant's or toddler's mouth
  • Proper use of fluoride
  • Oral habits, including finger and thumb sucking
  • Ways to prevent accidents that could damage the face and teeth
  • Teething and milestones of development
  • The link between diet and oral health

After this first visit, the dentist will suggest a schedule of follow-up visits. In the past, dentists typically called for visits every six months. Now, the schedule may vary according to each child's needs and risks. As your child grows, the dental team can help you learn how to prevent common oral problems.

Missed or Cancelled Appointment Courtesy

We value our patients time and commitment to their appointments. When our office books your appointment, we are setting aside a dedicated chair and time slot just for you. We only ask that if you must reschedule your appointment, that you please provide us with at least 24 hours notice. This courtesy makes it possible to give your reserved time slot to another patient who would be more than happy to accept.

*Repeated cacellations or missed appointments may result in loss of future appointment privileges.

Every patient in our practice receives this unique reservation. When your appointment is made, a time is reserved, your materials are ordered, and we make special arrangements to be ready for your visit. Except for emergency treatment for another patient, you can expect us to be prompt. We, of course, would appreciate the same courtesy from you.
